Episode 2

  1. OK, I'm hooked. But, don't be surprised to hear that much of your blog content evokes fond memories, not "oh, my god, this parenting thing is unbelievable!" It's not a case of "been there, done that," but a wonderful empathy with the uniqueness of the experience. And you WILL find yourselves saying, "I can't believe it, but it DOES keep getting better" (well, maybe until high school age, anyway).

  2. Awesome. I'm starting to see a little of resemblance in his features to his parents, which is exciting.

I really appreciate that you three take the time to put these updates together. Sometimes blogging can feel like whispering into a void, but we are genuinely interested and check the blogs every day to see the latest news. Thank you!

  3. Whew, we love getting comments, especially from our biggest fans. I hope you (both "GemNI" and JDV) know that you ARE our biggest fans. Joanna and I debate about how many people read the other blog, but I know that you folks are always out there in the ether, paying attention. It means alot to us!

  5. Reed and Jo and Chase--

I can't thank you enough for sharing like this. It's so difficult to have such close friends going through something so monumnetal while so far away, but getting these updates makes a huge difference. And there is something about actually seeing your faces while you talk...it's so personal and somehow so reassuring.

I'm hooked (although I am still looking forward to the episode where the word "scare" does not get mentioned!)

  6. All the big hitters are posting comments! So good to know people are interested in our goings-on.

CRM: we throw "scare" around the way Bush used to talk of "Evil-Doers." Pay us no heed, we're just into shock tactics. As far as we can tell, the kid continues to breath and crap like any other fully-functioning organism.

  7. The report is definitely the best thing I've watched all week! Had a great time visiting today and think you two are doing a fine job of raising my nephew. The pics are all so cute but my favorite this week was the very last one. Love to you all!
